What is TightSculpting®

Changes in diet and lifestyle can help shed the extra weight, but for many, it is impossible to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of the body. Fotona TightSculpting® is a unique dual-wavelength, non-invasive laser treatment for sculpting and skin tightening on multiple face and body areas. Combining dual-wavelength laser wavelengths, both modes work synergistically to create effective outcomes for all body types.

Step 1: Deep skin tightening and fat reduction with PIANO® pulse

The super long Nd:YAG pulse in the PIANO is designed to heat up the deep tissues comfortably, safely, rapidly, and uniformly by concentrating energy delivery to subcutaneously stimulate the body’s metabolism of fat, leaving the skin surface intact.

The treated area is heated to and maintained at a safe temperature range of between 39 to 45℃ to facilitate lipolysis, the temperature at which fat cells are destroyed, while leaving other surrounding cells unharmed.

Step 2: Improvement of skin surface laxity with SMOOTH® pulse

The second stage consists of a non-ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode that is used to tighten the skin as the fat is metabolised by the body, tightening any excess skin from sagging.

The controlled energy from the laser stimulates collagen remodelling. This results in an overall improvement of laxity and elasticity in the treatment areas, giving the skin a firmer appearance.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?

As a non-invasive treatment, Fotona TightSculpting® causes minimal to no pain or discomfort. As the laser moves over the treated area, you may experience a warming sensation which should dissipate shortly after the treatment. Overall, treatments are generally quite well tolerated.

Fotona TightSculpting® is suitable for most individuals. It is ideal for anyone looking to tighten loose skin or sculpt a portion of their body by getting rid of unwanted fat deposits that are hard to lose through dieting and exercise.

However, it is not suited for individuals struggling with weight loss. For weight loss treatments, we recommend Clatuu Alpha Fat Freezing.

Each treatment takes 30 to 60 minutes per session, depending on the size of the treatment area. Our aesthetic doctor will pass the Fotona handpieces over the treated area, delivering laser energy deep into your skin to break down stubborn fat deposits while tightening the skin.

While TightSculpting® results vary within individuals, most individuals will see immediate tightening after the treatment, with results gradually improving after a few weeks.

Depending on your desired outcome, you might require subsequent treatment sessions. As our treatments are all tailored to every patient’s individual, the recommended number of sessions will be discussed during your initial consultation with Dr. Jonathan Lee.

Patients are able to resume their daily activities immediately after the treatment. Fotona TightSculpting® is a safe, non-invasive procedure with no bruising. You may feel some warmth on the treated area due to the laser energy, but this usually resolves shortly after the treatment.

As part of the post treatment care, direct sun exposure on the treated area should be avoided for at least 5 days. Throughout the course of the treatment, sun protection should also be applied to the treated area.

Acne

A commonly overlooked yet physically and psychologically scarring problem, acne is a long-drawn problem that commences at puberty and can drag on well into one’s 20s to 30s. Adult-onset acne is also common, commencing in one’s 20s to 30s and dragging on well beyond that. Caused mainly by accumulation of dead skin, bacterial infection and uncontrolled inflammation, acne is a rather well understood medical condition. Hormonal influences, genetic factors, and even proposed dietary influences are known to be the underlying drivers of acne in some too. Early intervention is the best solution – less acne translates to less scarring, saving you precious time and finances required in attempting to resurface those pesky scars later on.

Acne Treatments

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels consist of mild acids that, when applied to skin, promote controlled exfoliation of skin as well as inactivation of the sebaceous units responsible for breakouts.

Used as a complimentary form of treatment to existing topical therapy, chemical peels can quickly and effectively control most forms of acne.

3-5 sessions are typically required at 2 weekly intervals to bring acne under control, with subsequent sessions done every 4-6 weeks for maintenance.

Carbon Peel

Using a specialised laser and a black carbon-based ink on the face, sebaceous glands can be targeted, bacteria killed, and mild exfoliation performed.

Sessions done at 2-4 weekly intervals can help keep acne bay while also helping to lighten any post-inflammatory pigmentation left by the acne and even reduce pore size.

AGNES

For the larger, stubborn and recurrent acne, the use of a highly selective probe to deliver high radio-frequency energy into the sebaceous unit effectively and permanently inactivates the gland.

This more permanent solution to acne allows for effective management of recurrent acne without having to resort to oral medication such as oral isotretinoin.
