Fotona 4D® Facelift & Skin Tightening

Non-surgical face lifting for immediate skin rejuvenation

introduction

What is Fotona 4D®?

Fotona 4D is a safe, non-surgical, and non-invasive facelift treatment that delivers natural-looking results. Using a combination of 2 complementary laser wavelengths — Nd:YAG and Er:YAG, it treats 4 distinct dimensions of the skin to rejuvenate and tighten from the inside out.

As an alternative to injectables and surgery, this laser facelift treats both the outside of your skin and the inside (oral cavity) to lift your inner middle face. It stimulates collagen remodelling so that new and healthy-looking skin can be formed in place, resulting in immediate rejuvenation, tightening and glow.

What to expect

What to Expect
Fotona4D®

Step 1: SmoothLiftin™

To stimulate collagen production, we begin within the oral cavity where it provides a gentle heating sensation. This helps improve nasolabial folds, perioral wrinkles and sagging jowels while delivering rejuvenating facial tightening from the inside-out.

Step 2: FRAC3 Mode™

High-intensity fractional energy produces a 3-dimensional fractional pattern in the epidermis and dermis layer to promote collagen remodelling for treatment of deeper, age-related skin imperfections, like lines and wrinkles. Overall skin texture and tone is restored.

Step 3: PIANO Mode™

A brushing technique is used to safely, and rapidly apply bulk-heating to create a tightening effect, resulting in firmer, lifted skin. This procedure is safe and controlled by our aesthetic doctor, hence it spares the skin from unnecessary thermal damage.

Step 4: SupErficial™

The final step is a gentle, laser peel that gently exfoliates for a pearly smooth finish. This mode also improves the appearance of the skin, reduces superficial imperfections, and restores a youthful texture.

FAQ

frequently asked questions

Who is Fotona 4D® suitable for?

Fotona 4D® is suitable for most individuals and delivers good results for those experiencing early to moderate signs of ageing and skin laxity.

It is ideal for people with:

  • Mild to moderate skin sagging or loss of firmness

  • Early jowls and lower-face heaviness

  • Smile lines and nasolabial folds

  • Fine lines or wrinkles

  • Uneven skin tone and texture

  • Redness, pigmentation, or sun spots

  • Dull or tired-looking skin

This treatment is particularly well-suited for patients seeking visible lifting, tightening, and skin refinement without surgery or injectables, while supporting long-term collagen renewal

While results can vary from person to person, most patients notice immediate tightening after treatment — with full results building gradually over the next 12 weeks as collagen remodelling continues.

For optimal results, a typical plan consists of 3–4 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
After completing the series, regular maintenance every 6–12 months helps maintain the lift and skin quality for the long term.

Results can last 1–2 years, depending on factors like age, lifestyle, and collagen quality. Maintenance treatments help extend and preserve results for longer.

You may experience slight redness that should subside in a few hours. Fotona 4D® is non-surgical and non-invasive, hence there is zero downtime required. Patients can resume their normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.

Numbing cream is not typically required, though it can be applied for 15 to 30 minutes if it is desired by the patient to improve overall comfort. There would be a gradual warming sensation, and after a few minutes you may experience some very brief hot sensations in the treatment area from the laser energy, which will dissipate quickly.

Fotona 4D® is the only “facelift laser” that includes an intraoral lifting step, which helps improve areas that are often addressed with fillers — but without injections. It also targets multiple skin layers in a single session for more comprehensive lifting and skin quality improvement.

There are several proven non-surgical lifting technologies, and the best choice depends on what you want to improve—lift, contour, skin texture, or a quick refresh.

Fotona4D (Multi-layer Laser Lift)
Best for: Lifting with visible skin quality improvement
• Targets 4 layers, including an intraoral (inside-the-mouth) step
• Helps with smile lines (nasolabial folds), mid-face sagging and early jowls
• Improves texture, pores, pigmentation, and redness
• Boosts collagen deeply while refining the surface
Choose Fotona4D if you want both lifting and an overall “better skin” effect.

Ultraformer MPT (HIFU)
Best for: Deep lifting and facial contour definition
• Targets deeper structural layers (SMAS)
• Effective for jowls, lower-face heaviness, and double chin
• Ideal for a sharper jawline and V-shape definition
Choose Ultraformer MPT if your main goal is a more defined shape and contour.

Morpheus8 (RF Microneedling)
Best for: Tightening and texture refinement
• Great for loose, crepey skin
• Helps acne scars, enlarged pores and fine lines
• Focuses more on skin tightening and quality than structural lifting
Choose Morpheus8 if your concern is skin laxity and texture rather than facial contour.

Titanium Lifting (Non-invasive handpiece)
Best for: A quick glow with subtle firming
• Low discomfort and no downtime
• Instant radiance
• Gentle tightening (less intensive than Fotona or HIFU)
• Great before events or as maintenance
Choose Titanium if you want a fast, gentle refresh.

Most patients benefit from a combination approach because each device targets different layers of the face.

For example:
• Fotona4D for internal lifting and collagen stimulation
• Ultraformer MPT for contouring a heavier lower face
• Morpheus8 for tightening crepey skin and refining texture
• Titanium for glow and maintenance

The best results come from a personalized plan, designed after assessing:
• Your facial anatomy
• Skin thickness
• Degree of sagging
• Amount of lower-face heaviness
• Your long-term goals

You’ll receive a tailored recommendation during your consultation.

Fotona4D® can give a subtle, filler-like lifting effect for early to moderate signs of ageing, especially when the goal is tightening and collagen stimulation.

However, it cannot match the results of a surgical facelift in cases of very severe sagging. Many patients use Fotona4D® to postpone injectables or surgery while maintaining a lifted, refreshed look.

Yes. Fotona 4D® is generally suitable for all skin types, including Asian and darker skin tones.

Its wavelengths can be used safely with a low risk of pigmentation when performed with the correct settings and technique.

Restylane® Kysse Lip Fillers
What is Restylane® Kysse

Dubbed as the gold standard of lip fillers, Restylane® Kysse is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that’s designed specifically for our lips. Using XpresHAn™ Technology, it provides flexible movement and natural-looking volume while enhancing the texture and colour of the lips.

Benefits of Restylane Kesse
  • Luscious, plumped lips

  • Soft, natural-looking results

  • Smooths lip lines and wrinkles

  • Enhances the colour of your lips

  • Allows for flexible lip movements

  • More defined, volumized, and youthful lips

  • Longer-lasting results as compared to other lip fillers

  • Immediate results with zero downtime

What to Expect

Step 1

All Restylane® Kysse fillers come with lidocaine, an anesthetic, to ensure that your treatment is relaxing and entirely comfortable. Initially, a topical anesthetic will be applied on the injection site to numb the area.

Step 2

Our aesthetic doctor will begin the procedure with the first injection using an ultra-fine needle, before taking a pause to allow the lidocaine in Restylane® Kysse to further numb the lip area.

Step 3

The procedure then continues until the treated area shows the desired results. Thereafter, the injected area will be massaged to ensure that the filler gel is distributed evenly across the lips for natural results.

Are there any before and after photos of Restylane® Kysse results?

As dictated by Ministry of Health, we are not allowed to publish ‘before’ and ‘after’ images of aesthetic treatments. If you are interested in seeing the full before-and-after results please provide us with your name and email below, and we will send the images to your email address.

Restylane Kysse Frequently Asked Questions
Am I an ideal candidate for Restylane® Kysse Lip Fillers?

Patients should not use Kysse lip filler if they:

  • Have a history of severe allergic reactions.

  • Have had a previous allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid fillers.

  • Are allergic to anesthetics, like lidocaine.

While both of these are hyaluronic acid lip fillers, they have slightly different formulas. Restylane® Kysse adds volume and enhances your existing lip shape and symmetry to create smooth, natural-looking lips. It can also treat smoker’s lines, or commonly known as wrinkles around the mouth.

Juvederm, on the other hand, is a great option for patients who are looking for a more voluminous look. When deciding on which lip filler, it depends on the look you want to achieve.

Due to the different formulations, Restylane® Kysse has a unique structure that lasts longer than other fillers. Most dermal lip fillers last around 9 months, however you can expect results lasting up to 12 months with Restylane® Kysse.

The discomfort experienced during the treatment varies from person to person and depends on factors such as:

  • Sensitivity of the patient

  • Pain tolerance of the patient

  • Anxiety level of the patient

Restylane® Kysse comes with anesthetic inside the gel already, hence discomfort is at its minimum.

All lip fillers have some mild side effects. You may experience some slight swelling and bruising on the injected area, but these should go away within 7 days.

  • As with other lip fillers treatment, a cold compress may be applied to the injected area to reduce swelling.

  • Avoid touching the injected area for at least 6 hours so that you do not accidentally injure your skin while the area is numb. Thereafter, the treatment area can be gently washed with soap and water.

  • Minimise strenuous exercise and exposure to excess heat, sun, or UV rays for the first 24 hours. Exposure to these may cause temporary redness, swelling, or itching at the treated area.

Full aftercare instructions will also be provided after the treatment.

Acne

A commonly overlooked yet physically and psychologically scarring problem, acne is a long-drawn problem that commences at puberty and can drag on well into one’s 20s to 30s. Adult-onset acne is also common, commencing in one’s 20s to 30s and dragging on well beyond that. Caused mainly by accumulation of dead skin, bacterial infection and uncontrolled inflammation, acne is a rather well understood medical condition. Hormonal influences, genetic factors, and even proposed dietary influences are known to be the underlying drivers of acne in some too. Early intervention is the best solution – less acne translates to less scarring, saving you precious time and finances required in attempting to resurface those pesky scars later on.

Acne Treatments

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels consist of mild acids that, when applied to skin, promote controlled exfoliation of skin as well as inactivation of the sebaceous units responsible for breakouts.

Used as a complimentary form of treatment to existing topical therapy, chemical peels can quickly and effectively control most forms of acne.

3-5 sessions are typically required at 2 weekly intervals to bring acne under control, with subsequent sessions done every 4-6 weeks for maintenance.

Carbon Peel

Using a specialised laser and a black carbon-based ink on the face, sebaceous glands can be targeted, bacteria killed, and mild exfoliation performed.

Sessions done at 2-4 weekly intervals can help keep acne bay while also helping to lighten any post-inflammatory pigmentation left by the acne and even reduce pore size.

AGNES

For the larger, stubborn and recurrent acne, the use of a highly selective probe to deliver high radio-frequency energy into the sebaceous unit effectively and permanently inactivates the gland.

This more permanent solution to acne allows for effective management of recurrent acne without having to resort to oral medication such as oral isotretinoin.

Tattoo Removal
Tattoos, while easily placed, are much more complicated to erase. Newer methods of treatment are more reliable, and total time required for tattoo removal can be shortened to less than a year.

Tattoos, while easily placed, are much more complicated to erase. Existing therapies involve the use of nano-second Q-switched lasers, but treatments prove difficult with many requiring 2-3 years of repeated visits at 2-3 monthly intervals. Newer methods of treatment involve the use of newly developed pico-second lasers. These lasers, firing many times faster than conventional Q switched lasers, fracture pigments more effectively. In effect, treatments are more reliable, and total time required for tattoo removal can be shortened to less than a year.

Here at The Aesthetic Studio, we employ the use of the Lutronic Picoplus Pico-second laser for optimal tattoo removal; with 4 wavelengths of light at your disposal, removal of tattoos of varying colour and complexity just got easier.

With a high energy output, a wide range of precisely controllable fluence output and four wavelengths of light for increased versatility, the Picoplus Pico-second laser is optimised for tattoo removal and pigment management.

Depending on tattoo complexity, 5-10 sessions may be required at monthly intervals for optimal clearance.

Combination with ablative lasers may be advised to reduce post-laser blistering commonly associated with tattoo removal.
