About Dr. Grace Huang

A Physician’s Grounding. A Considered Eye.

Dr Grace Huang, physician at The Aesthetic Studio Clinic & Surgery in Singapore

Dr. Grace Huang is an aesthetic physician at The Aesthetic Studio Clinic & Surgery in Singapore, with a background in internal medicine and primary care.

A graduate of the National University of Singapore, she has practised medicine since 2014 and holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK). She completed her internal medicine residency at a large tertiary hospital, then worked as a resident physician in a GP Plus clinic, with interests in women’s and men’s health, wellness and weight management.

Her interest in aesthetic medicine is partly personal. Having dealt with acne, rosacea, pigmentation and sensitive skin herself, she understands how concerns about skin and appearance can affect the way people feel. She is now developing her aesthetic practice around skin health, facial assessment and thoughtful, individualised treatment planning.

Her view of a good result: your face should speak before your treatments do.

“Do what is necessary, do it deliberately, and know when to stop.”

— Dr. Grace Huang on her treatment philosophy

Her Approach

The Face as a Whole, Not a List of Features

Recognising that something could be changed does not mean it should be. Every plan starts with what matters to you.

01

Understand the concern first

What you have noticed, what bothers you and what you hope to achieve come before any discussion of a specific treatment.

02

Respect what you like

Facial balance and proportion help guide assessment, but they are not an obligation to treat. A feature you are happy with is not a problem to be solved.

03

Follow the indication, not the trend

Newer or more elaborate is not automatically more appropriate. Sometimes the established, frankly unexciting, option is exactly what is needed.

04

The appropriate dose

Less is not always more. Treatment should be enough to achieve a worthwhile result, without assuming more will improve it — and sometimes the right plan is a limited one, or none at all.

Some concerns cannot be appropriately addressed with non-surgical treatment. When that is the case, Dr. Grace will say so plainly.

Beyond the Clinic

Training, Books and Two Dogs

Dr. Grace started with aerial arts and calisthenics before moving to strength training and running, which remain a large part of her life.

She sees a clear parallel with medicine: attention to how something is executed, a plan with a direction rather than a collection of sessions, and an appropriate dose — enough to be worthwhile, and a point beyond which more stops helping.

Strength & running

Strength training most of the week, focused running sessions, and slower runs with her dogs.

Reading & the arts

Mostly fiction, psychology and philosophy — and theatre and exhibitions whenever she can.

Cleo & Monty

Cleo, a quirky, cat-like Finnish Lapphund, and Monty, a gentle Labradoodle who often lets Cleo win.
