What kind of acne scars are most suitable for the treatments?
All acne scars including the common ice pick scars, deep box scars, rolling scars, and hypertrophic scars are suitable for the acne scar treatments offered at The Aesthetic Studio. Our doctors will use a combination of TCA Cross, Radiofrequency Microneedling (such as Sylfirm X), Lasers, ECO2, subscision and fillers/collagen bio-stimulator depending on your condition to achieve the optimal results to help you regain your complexion and confidence.
Will I experience any pain or discomfort?
There will be slight tingling sensations during each treatment, but it all depends on each individual’s threshold. Most of our acne scar patients find the treatments tolerable and some don’t even feel anything at all. Numbing cream will be applied to reduce any pain and discomfort.
Is there any downtime?
Depending on the acne scar treatment you undergo, downtime expected will vary accordingly. However, we will tailor treatments to minimise downtime where necessary.
How many acne scar treatments do I need and how long will it take to see visible results?
It depends on the seriousness of your acne scars. For mild cases, it can take only 3-5 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. For more serious cases, it can take up to 5-8 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. It might seem like a long time, but it’s well worth the investment.
How long is each acne scar treatment session?
Depending on the acne scar treatments you undergo, each session can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
